You will be taken by your Antalya tour guide to Antalya Archaeology Museum. This museum is among Turkeyâ€™s more impressive museums, with the exhibits range from prehistoric times to the Turkish republic, featuring the first Money, artifacts from Archaic Era, and finds from Perge, Side Aspendos. Your Antalya Tour guide will escort you round the site and explain to you the history of the museum, you will also visit the Gallery of the Gods, here are displayed statues discovered in Perge dating from the 2C AD, your Antalya tour guide will once again explain and answer any questions you might wish to ask.
After the Antalya Museum, we will drive to Antalya City center, we will not miss the Tophane Cay Bahcesi (Battlements Tea Garden), on top of the rampart walls, overlooking the harbour. Then we walk to the Republic Square and old city entrance, you will see the red-tinted Fluted Minaret (Yivli Minare),dating from the 13â€™th century and virtually the symbol of the Antalya city. On your right and Clock Tower in front, you will visit the Old Town of Antalya, Tekeli Mehmet Pasa Mosque, a short distance along on the right is Hadrianâ€™s Gate, built to commemorate the Emperor visit to Antalya in AD 130. Consructed of Marble ,it has three arches with coffered ceiligs decorrated with rosettes. Behind Hadrian Gate is the Old Town, a maze of small streets which makes up the old quarter. Here,the overhanging wooden balconies of old, dilapidated houses lean companionable toward each other. Sometimes through a gap in a crumbling wall you glimpse an overgrown garden where a few neglected orange trees produced shrivelled, bitter fruit.
When we are walking in the old town of Antalya, you will see Kesik Minaret Mosque (Truncated or broken Minaret), the ruined mosque beside it was transformed from Byzantine Church by Seljuks. At the far end of is Hidirlik Tower, on the sea front with magnificent views of the city, the gulf of Antalya, and the rugged Taurus Mountains. After you have taken in the sights your Antalya Tour guide will give you one hour free time to stroll at your leisure or relax and have some refreshments in the cafeteria.
After that meeting with the bus
and drive for lunch. After the lunch visit the Waterfall. Antalya is known for spectacular waterfalls. Then drive to Seljuk bridge, dating from the 13â€™th century AD. When the tour has finished your Antalya Tour guide will return you to your port of call.
